“I like to be constantly challenged,” says John Stewart, co-founder and CEO of Sunfare, a meal-planning service.

Motivation: Ferro and Stewart started Sunfare to have a source of income they could control.

Planning: Ferro and Stewart created a business and marketing plan for the Phoenix location.

Experience: Ferro and Stewart originally started the company in Los Angeles in 1997.  Prior to Sunfare’s creation, Ferro was a personal trainer and Stewart worked as a nutritionist with the Zone Diet.

Marketing: Sunfare uses a public-relations firm.

What makes the business unique: Ferro and Stewart create a customized meal plan for each customer.  The menu is specific to the person, including allergies, preferences and nutritional needs.

Best part of the job: “Coming to work every day and the challenges that are laid out in front of it,” Stewart said.  “I like to constantly be challenged.”
